As professional marketing researchers and consultants, Schollie Research & Consulting is committed to the privacy and safe collection of personal information.
We adhere to applicable privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and other provincial privacy laws.
We adhere to the standards for ethical research set out by the Canadian Research and Insights Council (CRIC) – the industry association for the market / survey / insights research industry.
Purposes:
We collect and use personal information to provide our clients with market research, and service/program reviews. We may collect personal information including:
- Age, name, addresses, ID numbers, demographic information
- Opinions, evaluations, comments
Collection, Use, and Retention:
Consistent with market research requirements and guidelines, your information will not be used for any purposes other than those stated in the survey. Survey answers will be grouped with other participant responses and your individual responses will not be traced back to you.
Schollie Research & Consulting will not share or sell your survey responses or personal information with any other company or individuals. Reasonable steps have been taken to prevent the accidental disclosure of personal information (see Safeguards).
Primary Field Records (paper surveys, recordings, sample names and telephone numbers, etc.) will be destroyed or deleted from hard drives one year from completion of fieldwork.
Consent:
By participating in this survey, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information. Your cooperation in a marketing research project is entirely voluntary at all stages.
Retention and Safeguards:
As per item 4.07.2 of our corporate Professional Code of Conduct, members and nonmember employees of Schollie Research and Consulting shall store the information in such a fashion that through diligence and normally accepted administrative practices it is possible to safeguard the information.
Any and all printed notes, drafts and reports must be destroyed or made unintelligible before being discarded.
